A heavy downpour on Wednesday has resulted in flood and traffic gridlock across Lagos State, disrupting economic activities in Nigeria’s commercial centre. With the downpour, workers in the nation’s commercial capital have struggled to get to their various work places. Workers leaving aheading to various work places get congested in serious traffic due to the flood road.
Many who defied the rain and left their homes with the hope of getting to their places of work were seen stranded at different bus-stops while trying to commute in the city. Lagosians plead the government to provide solution to what causes the massive flood by constucting proper drainage system like deep canals etc. The Excutive Governo of Lagos State in person of Gov. Babajide Sanwolu should please do something about the massive flood caused by rain.
The scientist forcasted that it is likely to rain more in this month of July. Lagos residentials should prepared themselves ahead of it especially those leaving around places like Iyana-Oworo, Oshodi, Lekki, Ikeja, Egbeda, and Gbagada.
