Today's world is dominated by the fear of terrorism which is being used by terrorists as a mean of war. Thus, it is important to understand terrorism, which is simple words is the systematic use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population, to meet a particular political objective. Terrorism is an act that cause one or more people to experience a state of extreme fear and acts of violence. It not only intimidates innocent people but causes panic also. It has been practiced not only by terrorist but by political organizations, national and religious groups, by revolutionaries and even by state institutions such as armies, intelligence etc. A terrorist has ko religion his mission is to kill and avenge. A terrorist just reveals in killing; he knows no mercy even for an innocent child. He targets innocent people because they are the most vulnerable group.
One needs to understand that terrorism can not flourish without adequate financial support and this kind of support is forthcoming from some states and countries which become safe heaven to terrorists but it should be banned and states supporting such organizations should be isolated.
However, it also needs to be understood that terrorists are made when there is unique suppression of their rights. So good governance, which protects the rights of all the citizens irrespective of caste, class, community or religion is required for preventing youth from taking to terrorism.
Moreover, combined efforts have to be made by all the countries to combat this cancer of the society otherwise not only would the world be exposed to chemical and biological warfare but also nuclear warfare and the results can well be visualised.
