As the Lok Sabha elections approach, government starts launching new schemes, promising things and reducing LPG prices. These changes and upgrades only happen prior to elections while the remaining five years are spent in quite calmness. The government works on its own development throughout these five years, but only remembers citizens during elections.
This happens often, yet we vote for candidates who don't keep their promises. Will this cycle ever end is an important question that the society as a whole must find answer to, otherwise development in all aspects of life will be challenging to achieve.
It's important to look at what's promised during elections, but it's also crucial to think about whether leaders are committed to the country's long-term progress. As citizens, it's up to us to vote smartly and ask leaders to deliver, not just during elections, but all the time. That's how we can ensure real progress for everyone.
