Hello,
My name is Mercy Minoo. I did my internship at Grassroots Organization Operating Together in Sisterhood (GROOTS) Kenya which is an organization that works with more than 3500 grassroots women from more than 21 counties. The main aim of the organization was to ensure the women are empowered economically. To ensure this several meetings were being held were the women would fill in handwritten reimbursement forms which had to be retyped regardless of the number of women. Additionally, the data had to be analyzed for monitoring and evaluation purposes. All this was being done under limited time because of the number of meetings that were being held.
Additionally, i would type out the handwritten meeting notes and minutes that would be developed during the respective meetings. I also compiled case files in the Gender Based Violence department which included classifying the cases according to the different parameter for data analysis.
