Hi,
I am a translation researcher and have worked on Urdu to English and English to Urdu translation thoroughly for more than 2 years. The translation research involved 5 short stories translated from Urdu to English. It might seem less data but the stories were rich in vocabulary as the words were around 25000 in number, which requires quite a great deal of patience, energy and time to pin point and analyze different Culture Specific Items (CSIs) and other translation procedures of interest employed by the translator that reseacher comes accross.
Besides being a translation researcher, I am English subject teacher. And being English Subject teacher translation betweeen the two languages i-e. Urdu and English is the key activity I am always involved in. So, my experience of more or less five years, have given me the knowledge of what intricacies are there in the process of translation. I know, therefore, the problems that a translator comes accross during the process of translation and how do they find the suitable solution.
Having the degree of BS English, and M.Phil English Linguistics, I know how to translate different genres of literature and so of real life situations from Urdu to English and vice versa.
I am in good hopes that I will be a good choice for the company.
