My name is Makeba Idah, a Biomedical science major student.
I am passionate about research and innovation.
I am participating in 3 research studies on FGM and GBV against women in rural Kenya, perceptions of the community and it's effects.
I have worked with the PhD students of Maryland in human sciences, government management of education and human rights department.
I have also worked in the corporate world, having to do partnership proposals and sales. I have successfully worked with brands such as Coca Cola, Dairyland, TEKI, Tropical Heat, Redbull and travel agency companies.
This has been successful due to the fact that I lead a Business Development department in a youth led organization called AIESEC and also by virtue of me being the President in my local Chapter.
At the same time I have a good network base in not only Kenya, but the U.K, East African countries, Croatia, Mexico, Nigeria and Egypt. This is reference to conferences I have attended in my tenure as President.
