I'm a Photo editor for 7 years , I've been dealing with clients which is help me to build my confidence. In editing, one of my main tasks is to be aware that writers (myself included) have a tendency to overuse certain words. When I note a specific word or words cropping up over and over again, I highlight them to draw the writer’s attention. Another feature I watch for is quotation marks left off or added where they are not needed. Overuse of exclamation marks, or semi-colons, or the use of parentheses (the latter is seldom used in fiction writing) and other personal quirks the writer might have unconsciously developed need to be noted.
I enjoy editing a well-written book, but working with a writer who’s just learning and willing to take suggestions is sheer pleasure. With an eager newcomer to craft there’s a kind of magic in watching the growth toward maturity and the writer’s desire to make the book the best it can be.
My experience and wide knowledge in typing is can really fit to this job and I can assure that I will do my ver best.
