Hello Student I'm Fine Everyone. How Are You All?

About this Talent:

The creator of a work always (and automatically) owns the copyright, unless he provides a statement in writing assigning those rights elsewhere.

Such statements are sometimes signed as part of an employment contract or college enrollment form, which the signer may not realize it is in there if he didn't read the document. However, that usually pertains to research and development.

Please note that copyright law allows for a work to be used for academic purposes, so you can't say, for example "don't read this aloud as part of the lesson", though you can certainly request it.

Again I stress, under US law at least, that permission must be IN WRITING. Nothing is just assumed, outside of the bounds of a few accepted categories. (These are usually referred to as Fair Use in the US, but some of those conditions are in the Berne Convention, hence international). Consult your country's laws for other exceptions.
